Warmest congratulations to 12-year-old composer Carey Tan for receiving multiple awards at the 2025 Global Genius Music Competition with two original large-scale symphonic works.
His original Piano Concerto No. 1 – The Explorers was awarded the Platinum Prize (Orchestra Category) as well as the Poetic Artistic Musical Genius Special Prize.The jury highly praised the work for its musical imagination, structural architecture, artistic maturity, and originality.
His original Symphony No. 2 – The Cries of War received the Gold Prize (Composition Category) and was additionally honoured with the Inspirational Creativity Musical Genius Special Prize. The symphony was commended for its profound humanistic depth and strong intellectual intensity, earning unanimous recognition from the panel.
In addition, Carey was awarded the Season Top 1 Overall Prize. These achievements further demonstrate his continued artistic development on the international professional composition stage and lay a solid foundation for his upcoming 2026 original symphonic concert and international tour.
